Aldie (June 13, 2012) - Champe High School, which opens in the fall, has named Josh Hastings as the school's first varsity wrestling coach and Amy Glen Obertubbesing as the firs girls varsity tennis coach.
Hastings comes to Champe from Heritage High School, where he has been an assistant coach for two years and the head coach for one year.
Hastings has been involved in wrestling his entire life, competing, refereeing and coaching. As a wrestler he achieved 117 wins, District champion, placed in the state tournament and was a member of two VHSL state championship teams at Brentsville District High School. He was a member of the West Virginia University club wrestling team where he graduated from.
Hastings earned his Master’s in Education from George Mason University and is currently a teacher at Heritage High School.

An energetic individual, Obertubbesing has been involved in tennis and sports in different capacities throughout her life. Coach Obertubbesing played tennis in high school and has been a tennis teacher in Woodbridge for 10 years.
Obertubbesing attended College at Texas State University San Marcos, Texas and earned her BS in interdisciplinary studies, early childhood education. She is currently a teacher at Creighton’s Corner Elementary School.
